“99% of internet users already search on Google. But only 75% are clicking on ads promoted in the top positions”. This was how Oscar Ramilo introduced his SEO masterclass for entrepreneurs in the latest workshop organized by BCNewt Coworking Space. Search engine optimization (SEO), in his words, these days has become the “main online marketing tool” for emerging companies.

Oscar Ramilo is the chief executive officer of Seposiciona, an agency that makes SEO for entrepreneurs a passion and a way of life. Noticing that this tool has more potential than risky online advertising, Oscar founded the school of professional SEO Seoworking, a project that directly connects users with companies through theoretical and practical training. Oscar said, “Midsize businesses are left with students leaving the course because the improvement in the positioning of their web content leads them to an exponential increase in visits and contacts”.

The easiest way for customers to contact a company is, without doubt, the Internet. Therefore, it is very important that businesses, especially those unknown to the general public, try to gain a better position in the network. “If you are not well positioned, and this means not being on the first page of Google, they will not contact you, which is a problem,” says Oscar. The key to improving a business using SEO is to follow a planned strategy: audit the website, optimize content, position the project and analyze the changes experienced by searching on online platforms. There are many applications like Google PageSpeed, WooRank, Google Analytics o Google Business that make SEO for entrepreneurs marketing tool easy to use. And most impressive, “Tens of thousands of potential customers now visit my website every week thanks to a technique that is free!” said Oscar.
